Collanet Labs
Extracellular matrix preparations, with
special emphasis on Collagen Type II
(chicken sternae).
E mail: gelux@operamail.com
Cat. # PM 1938-40
Source: 4-6 week old chicken sternae
|
Introduction / Use
For rheumatic arthritis and platelet aggregation research.
Oral tolerization of the undenatured collagen type II, as
dietary supplement.
Extraction and Purification
By nonconventional methodology
avoiding the utilization of pepsin, to obtain the native
conformation as much as possible, rendering a T Cell
Proliferation Assay Grade and higher immunogenicity.
Purification by ion chromatography and/or preparative
electrophoresis to facilitate critical separations of
noncollagenous contaminants.
Purity Analysis
Type II profile by SDS-PAGE, with/without
-SH reduction, using collagen types I, II, III, IX, and XI
as molecular weight standards. To detect proteoglycans,
using glucuronolactone as standard, uronic acid analysis is
performed. To detect non-collagen protein contaminants, BCA
protein test is done. Results in a purity over 95%.
Presentation
Lyophilized from 0.1% acetic acid, or solution
of 0.4% in 0.4% acetic acid.
Storage
Refrigerate at 2-8 (degrees). The solution at
-20(degrees) for up to 6 months.
Availability
In a wide range of quantities.
Note
Cat. # TM 1938-44 obtained by a modified Trentham
method (Trentham, et al., J. of Exp. Med. 146:857-868) is
also available in the same range of purity and presentation.
Special Orders
Special orders can be prepared for any type of collagens.
Electrophoresis profiles of collagens provided too.
